Job Summary

Work in kitchen with the responsibility of preparing and producing menu items to recipe standards in a quick and efficient manner.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Prepare food daily as outlined.
  • Maintain kitchen sanitation and safety standards.
  • Aid with set-up, service and clean-up of food production.
  • Ensure proper sanitation and storage of kitchen equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with state, local and regulatory agencies as it relates to food service.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service.

Requirements

  • Reading and math skill for receipts and measurements.
  • Ability to perform duties within hot to normal to cold temperature ranges.
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment including slicer, steamer, deep fryer, ovens, broiler, grill, mixer, kettle and flat top.
  • Ability to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry, move or push goods on a food warmer weighing a maximum 300 lbs. at a continuous schedule.
  • Perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, standing and walking significant distances.

Skills And Abilities

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common documentation.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from employees, regulatory agencies or members of the staff.
  • Ability to write and present information to management in a reasonable manner.
  • Ability to perform normal mathematical computations in regard to the implementation of current duties.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several variables.

Education And Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience necessary.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

  • Office/Casino environment.
  • Tolerate casino related environmental factors including but not limited to second hand smoke, excessive noise levels and stress related to serving customers in a high pressure fast paced environment.
  • Constant wrist motion, sits, hears and eye/hand coordination.
  • Frequently speak, read, write, stand, walk, bend and stoop.
  • Occasionally lift, carry, push and pull.
  • Must be able to continuously maneuver around property and office, often standing for long hours.
  • The team member frequently is also required to stand, walk and reach with arms and hands, bend and have the ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
  • The work environment consists of very demanding surroundings with a moderate noise level.
