About the role
Responsible for creating a consistent quality product and culinary experience, while also providing exceptional customer service, presentation, and a clean and safe eating environment.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Responsibilities
- Ensure quality food product—taste, appearance, and portion size
- Demonstrate good basic knife skills and production skills
- Read and follow Company recipes accurately
- Maintain a clean, well-organized, and sanitary work area
- Manage time effectively to stay on track with daily tasks
- Adhere to daily menu and prep lists
- Work independently on assigned station
- Anticipate customers’ needs and provide a positive experience through engagement and presentation
- Build rapport with repeat customers
- Communicate effectively with co-workers and customers
- Suggestively sell add-ons to orders
- Jump in where needed and take direction well
- Demonstrate eagerness to learn new skills and flexibility to change
- Lead by example with a positive attitude, creating a positive work environment
- Engage hands-on with customers and maintain consistent work output
- Handle additional projects and assignments as needed
- Demonstrate working knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety
- Maintain good hygiene and hand-washing practices
- Attention to detail and ability to work quickly on your feet
- Properly manage time and multi-task
- Follow written and verbal instructions accurately
- Understand food labeling, serving temperatures, and FIFO practices
Requirements
- 1–3 years of previous cooking experience preferred
- Working knowledge of food handling, food sanitation, and safety
- Proficiency in using all kitchen equipment, including knife handling skills
- Knowledge of cooking techniques such as braising, sauté, sear, and grill
- Ability to perform proper recipe conversion and measuring
- Serve Safe and Allergen Certification preferred
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, and weekends
- In process or completion of culinary education preferred
