About the role

We are seeking a competent Cook to prepare and produce meals according to tenant diets and regulations while complying with established dietary standards as well as other operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Follows instructions and performs a variety of tasks within the kitchen.

Requirements

• Must be able to show empathy, patience, and connect well with the population
• Demonstrates an appreciation of the heritage, values, and wisdom of the tenants
• Able to communicate effectively
• Complies with established dietary standards and follows infection control, sanitation, and safety regulations
• Knowledge of large scale food production/service and the operation of large scale kitchen equipment
• Must possess and maintain Food Manager Certificate
• Collaborates with dietaician to maintain optimal dietary health for tenants
