Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve nutritious, balanced, and appealing meals for students and staff
- Follow established menus while contributing creative, healthy ideas
- Accommodate dietary restrictions, allergies, and special needs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Support a positive, team-oriented environment in collaboration with clinical and residential staff
- Occasionally involve students in appropriate kitchen or meal prep activities to build life skills
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Must hold a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalency
- Montana Food Handler’s certification required
- Current First Aid and CPR certification required
- Must possess a valid State of Montana driver's license, maintain a clean driving record, and be able to drive for work-related purposes
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Must be physically capable of performing essential job functions, including crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
- Training will be provided
