Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate food inventories
  • Prepare the food for residents, staff and visitors
  • Rotate stock items as per established procedures
  • Assist in clean up, kitchen maintenance and setting up and taking down of dining areas as needed
  • Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end of your shift
  • Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures
  • Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items
  • Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts

Requirements

  • Cook/Dietary Aide: 1 Year
  • Long Term Care Dietary experience

Skills

  • Able to read and follow standardized recipes
  • Serve Safe Certification preferred
  • Able to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere
  • Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures
