Responsibilities
- Prepares meals according to planned menus and standardized recipes in a sanitary manner to ensure quality with minimum waste.
- Reviews food menus and work orders to determine type and quantities of food to be prepared and to identify all foods required for therapeutic diets before preparation.
- Preps, measures and mixes ingredients according to recipes.
- Assists driver with preparation of meals and loading and unloading of items for delivery.
- Portions and arranges food and distributes to waitstaff to be served.
- Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.
- Limits and dates all food items in accordance with food storage chart.
- Receives, checks-in, dates and stocks deliveries in appropriate areas.
- Ensures food products are cooked and served in compliance with State of Hawaii Department of Health sanitation standards.
- Performs the necessary duties for emergency drills and situations such as fire, fire alarms, hurricanes, and other possible emergencies as outlined in the Disaster Response Playbook.
- Interacts with residents/clients and co-workers with patience, understanding and kindness in accordance with the Arcadia Family of Companies mission and core values.

- Education/Experience: Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Computer Skills: Basic skills and ability to learn as needed.
