Cook 1 (Regular Part-time)

About the role

Cook 1 at Le Jardin Academy is a regular part-time position, ten months per year, Monday through Friday from 7am to 3pm, with occasional weekend shifts. Reporting to the Food Services Manager, this role works closely with the Food Service Prep Team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe working conditions and sanitary work area
• Safely operate and maintain food truck cooking equipment, including an open flame grill, burners, and two deep fryers
• Hold quality and food sanitation standards as required by the Food and Services Manager
• Prepare and stock all food and beverages
• Serve students in both food truck and concession areas as required
• Wash dishes
• Clean kitchen and food truck
• Comply with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures
• Keep up to date with Department of Health regulations

Qualifications and Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Demonstrated customer service excellence
• Basic math ability to accurately count and handle money
• Food prep experience (preferred)
• Experience relevant to similar facility or school operation (preferred)
• Experience in a team-oriented environment

Physical requirements

The physical requirements for this role include frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying items weighing up to 25 pounds. The employee must also be able to drive a golf cart.
