Key Responsibilities
- Serving as Project Manager, Design Manager or Project Engineer with full technical responsibility for planning, coordination, and execution of tasks/projects for both small or larger projects
- Planning, design, and construction of new pipelines (pressure and gravity) ranging in diameters and material type
- Preparation of contract specifications, drawings, and cost estimates
- Working with hydraulic modelers including the interpretation of modeling results and Civil 3D designers in the development of contract drawings
- Pipe design calculations to determine pipe size, pressure class, and external loads including trench design, pipe joint selection, etc.
- Routing studies, utility investigations, and coordination to identify and resolve potential vertical and horizontal utility conflicts considering constructability, cost impacts, and trenchless construction
- Condition assessment and prioritization and rehabilitation of existing pipelines is a plus but not required
- Experience with Erosion and Sedimentation Control plans, stormwater control and best management practices, site plans, and drainage studies
Required Qualifications
- Candidates must possess 7 to 15 years of experience in the planning and design of new or the rehabilitation of water, wastewater, and storm water pipeline systems
- Minimum education requirements are a BS degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering and; MS degree a bonus
- Basic Environmental Permitting understanding and experience for conveyance pipeline construction projects
- Possess strong verbal communication and technical writing skills
- Ability to effectively and proactively coordinate with various disciplines and services (CAD, structural, modeling, marketing)
