Conveyance Project Engineer
About the role
Join Tetra Tech’s Water Team in Colorado and play a key role in delivering innovative water and wastewater conveyance solutions across Colorado and beyond. As a Conveyance Project Engineer, you’ll work alongside seasoned project managers to bring major infrastructure projects to life.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, support client communications, and help ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest technical standards.
- Support Project Managers in delivering large-scale water and wastewater conveyance projects from planning through construction.
- Execute the client’s objectives by preparing construction drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports.
- Actively participate in project meetings and facilitate completion of action items to ensure timely progress.
- Lead the preparation of design calculations, system modeling, and hydraulic analyses for pipelines, pump stations, force mains, and collection systems.
- Team with senior engineers to identify and evaluate innovative technical solutions.
- Assist in preparing materials for client presentations, progress updates, and decision-making sessions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required (Colorado PE preferred, or ability to obtain within 6 months).
- 5+ years of experience in water/wastewater conveyance systems.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D; experience with hydraulic modeling software, a plus.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and task execution.
Pay
$95,000- $130,000 annually, dependent on qualifications and experience.
