Converting Supervisor

Physical Location: Omaha, NE

Category/Shift: Salaried Full-Time

Pay Rate: $69,500 - $92,600. Multiple factors, including individual experience, skills, and abilities will determine placement within the pay range. This role is eligible for variable pay and participation in IP’s annual incentive plan.

About the Role

Direct supervisor to one assigned shift of hourly employees. Responsible for supervision, direction, and leadership in safety, quality, productivity, and engagement to ensure goals are met.

Responsibilities

• Supervise employees in the daily production of corrugated board, including training, planning, assigning, and directing work.
• Evaluate employee performance; reward and discipline employees.
• Promote safety, quality production, and teamwork; resolve conflicts.
• Lead and motivate employees by setting an example of superior behavior, attitude, and performance to ensure efficient and effective work in a safe environment with a quality product.
• Effectively communicate operational information in both oral and written formats at all levels: crew members, other supervisors, plant management, office personnel, and outside customers and vendors.
• Actively promote and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and other programs and initiatives within the organization.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Prior experience in the corrugated packaging industry required.
• Two years of supervisory experience preferred.
