Accountabilities
- Lead daily operations of converting/finishing processes, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and cost goals are met
- Supervise and support front-line leaders and production teams to deliver safe and efficient operations
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all environmental and OSHA regulations
- Partner with Maintenance to ensure equipment reliability, proper maintenance practices, and operator training
- Review and adjust production schedules to improve efficiency, uptime, and customer service performance
- Maintain accurate production, safety, and compliance records
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Support capital projects and provide input on equipment performance and upgrades
- Manage departmental budgets and control operating costs
- Build a positive team environment, address employee concerns, and promote accountability
- Execute department goals aligned with overall mill/manufacturing objectives
What We’re Looking For
- Experience & Background:
- Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment such as paper, pulp, tissue, converting, packaging, or printing
- 10+ years of supervisory experience in converting or similar manufacturing operations (required)
- Experience with high-speed equipment, production processes, and continuous improvement methods
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field strongly preferred
- Equivalent experience in manufacturing leadership will also be considered
