Converting Operator -Start pay $22- up to $24 with converting experience

ProAmpac, a leading global flexible packaging company, is seeking a positive, detail-focused, and reliable individual to join our team at our Cincinnati, Ohio facility. This is an essential employer position with a focus on safety and health, providing all necessary personal protective equipment and sanitizing supplies. Major Function

Responsible for operating converting bag machines in a safe manner, producing quality product with minimal scrap, meeting production schedules, and maintaining a clean work area.

Primary Duties

• Perform timely and thorough quality checks throughout the shift and record them on your shift report (required every ½ hour).
• Perform light maintenance on the machine and communicate major issues to supervisor/lead person.
• Run and catch on a machine or run 2-3 machines with help of an assistant.
• Run a paper bag machine with help of a packer.
• Read, understand, and follow all work instructions to produce product that meets production, scrap, and quality standards.
• Ensure departmental compliance with all certification requirements and maintain good housekeeping practices in accordance with AIB/ISO standards.
• Maintain quality of products being produced at or above required specifications.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Minimum 1-year manufacturing experience is required.
• Minimum 1-year product (plastics) or industry specific (converting) machine experience is highly preferred.
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Strong math and measurement skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and as an independent contributor.
