Convenience Store Cashier

About the role

Meffert Oil Co. is seeking a dependable, friendly, and motivated individual to join their locally operated convenience store. The position offers part-time benefits such as consistent schedules, company-paid training, casual uniforms, employee discounts, and more.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner
• Operate the cash register and process credit card transactions accurately
• Help maintain a clean and organized store, restroom, and outdoor area
• Stock, organize, and face products throughout the store and cooler
• Aid with U-Haul scheduling, rentals, and customer information
• Balance cash drawer and complete shift paperwork
• Count and report inventory including lottery tickets, gift certificates, and cash drops
• Follow company safety and security procedures
• Work as part of a dependable and team-oriented staff

Qualifications

• Friendly and positive attitude
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to attend licensing classes and obtain required permits/licenses
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Availability for nights and weekends is required
