Convenience Site Attendant

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet residents and provide clear, polite guidance on where to dispose of household waste, bulk items, and recyclable materials.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe facility by sweeping, clearing debris, and picking up litter or spillage as needed.
• Safely operate and monitor facility equipment (such as trash compactors) according to company safety procedures.
• Monitor container fill levels throughout the day.
• Assist collection drivers with positioning, securing, or clearing area around waste containers during pickups.
• Open and close the facility punctually according to the scheduled operating hours.
• Adhere to all federal, state, and local safety standards, regulations, and company guidelines.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with the public and team members.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, safety procedures, and posted guidelines.
• Basic math skills for general site reporting/tracking, if required.
• Ability to work required shifts, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Performs duties outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain) approximately 90% of the time. Exposure to typical waste facility sounds and outdoor elements.

• Position involves standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and routine handling of materials.
• Ability to regularly lift or move items up to 10 lbs, and occasionally up to 20 lbs.
