We’re working closely with Facility Automation Solutions as they expand their Service Team and add a new Controls Service Technician to their team in Jacksonville. Majority of their clients are within the Greater Jacksonville area, allowing for a better work/life balance with limited extended travel. Ideal candidates will have strong electrical troubleshooting skills with hands-on experience servicing commercial low-voltage systems. • Job Type: Full-Time
• Typical hours: M-F, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM (4–6 hours of weekly OT typically available on a voluntary basis and paid at time-and-a-half; occasional mandatory OT may be required to support customer needs)
• Start Date: ASAP
• Travel: Local (no overnights); Company Car Provided (after onboarding)

Responsibilities

Service environmental-control and building systems (HVAC, lighting, access, etc.)

Check and verify a variety of sensors (temperature, amps, static pressure, relays, etc.)

Troubleshoot and repair system issues to ensure operational efficiency

Perform system diagnostics and calibrations to maintain peak performance

Review and interpret electrical schematic wiring diagrams

Travel to client sites and provide remote diagnostics when possible

Ensure equipment safety standards and maintain safe work environments

Act as a liaison between internal teams and external clients

Pursue ongoing education and training

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience troubleshooting commercial low-voltage systems (e.g. building automation, electronic security, telecom, fire alarm systems, etc.) required
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills including wiring relays required
• Driver’s license required
