Controls Technician (BMS/BAS and EPMS Power Monitoring)

About the role

The role involves managing and maintaining building management systems (BMS), building automation systems (BAS), and energy performance monitoring systems (EPMS) for power monitoring. This includes troubleshooting issues, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring system efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to BMS, BAS, and EPMS systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all equipment within the systems.
• Monitor system performance and make adjustments as necessary to ensure optimal operation.
• Collaborate with other departments to implement energy-saving measures and improve overall building efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in building management systems and/or energy performance monitoring systems.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for system analysis.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and control systems.
• Experience with BMS, BAS, and EPMS systems.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed.

Skills

• Technical proficiency in programming languages such as Python or C++.
• Experience with data analytics and interpretation.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay

$50,000 - $60,000 annually.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with occasional evening and weekend work as needed.
