Controls Technician

About the Role

As a Loader, you are responsible for the final verification of shipments before trailers depart the facility. Your role is critical in ensuring product integrity, preventing damage, and maintaining customer satisfaction by confirming shipments are properly prepared for transportation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a final inspection of all shipments before trailer departure, verifying that pallets are properly wrapped, stable, and securely positioned within the trailer.
• Inspect the condition of stretch wrap to ensure it is intact and sufficient to prevent product movement during transit.
• Identify and correct any damaged or inadequate wrapping before authorizing the trailer for departure.
• Stop the shipment and notify a supervisor if any concerns are identified during the loading process, ensuring issues are resolved prior to departure.
• Sign off on shipments as the loader, confirming that all verification steps have been completed and the shipment is properly prepared for transportation.

Requirements

• Attention to detail in verifying shipment conditions, including pallet stability, wrap integrity, and secure positioning within the trailer.
• Ability to identify and address potential issues that could lead to product damage during transit.
• Willingness to halt shipments and escalate concerns to supervisors when necessary to ensure resolution before departure.
