Responsibilities
- Plans and reviews assigned projects, establishes schedules and project parameters, and sets procedures to accomplish system goals.
- Connects and communicates with customers and their representatives, including building owners, mechanical contractors, other trades, subcontractors, and field support staff.
- Reads and comprehends construction schedules.
- Schedules and participates in internal project team meetings to ensure accurate transfer of information.
- Validates cost to date and reconciles project data in business system.
- Manages invoicing process and coordinates format, layout, attachments, and mailing with Shared Financial Services.
- Reviews billing backlog and coordinates/communicates with Project Managers, HVAC Field Technicians, customers, and Trane claims as necessary to resolve obstacles.
- Shares project concerns with Project Manager and legal staff.
Requirements
- One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three (3) plus years of related experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Participate in and contribute to lean improvements activities.
- Strong communication skills, proactive approach with willingness to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proven experience prioritizing tasks in order to meet tight deadlines within a high-paced environment.
- Previous experience with financial systems and basic accounting.
- Construction law and regulation knowledge is preferred.
- Familiarity with the operation of HVAC Systems preferred not required.
- Flexibility to work overtime/ weekends, as required.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations included, but not limited to: DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
