Description Pro Electric has an opportunity for a qualified Controls Engineer Service Manager at our Kansas City Office. Job Summary Manages building automation controls projects from estimating and budgeting through installation, commissioning, and startup. Builds and maintains strong relationships with clients, integrators, vendors, and project partners. Prepares estimates, budgets and bids; coordinates labor, materials and vendor support, and oversees controls installation activities to ensure projects are completed safely, accurately, on schedule, and within established financial expectations. Responsibilities Estimates and Bids: Prepares and/or reviews estimates, budgets, and proposals for building automation controls work. Partners with clients, integrators, and internal teams to define project scope, develop pricing, and align expectations. Project / Installation Oversight: Oversees building automation controls installations from planning through completion. Monitors project progress, coordinates resources, and resolves issues that impact quality, schedule, or client expectations. Client and Integrator Relationships: Builds and maintains relationships with clients and controls integrators, vendors, and project partners . Controls Engineering & Technical Support: Applies building automation controls expertise to support design intent, installation methods, startup coordination, and troubleshooting. Provides technical support for control drawings, system layouts, programming, startup activities, and vendor coordination based on project requirements. Resource Management: Plans and coordinates workforce, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and vendor support to ensure controls work is properly resourced and completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project schedules and requirements. Budgets and Financial Performance: Manages project and service budgets, monitors costs and financial performance, identifies and addresses financial risks, and supports profitable delivery of controls work. Safety Leadership: Promotes and reinforces a strong safety culture through effective coaching, clear expectations, and consistent adherence to company safety policies and procedures. Requirements 5-8 years of related controls, building automation, service, project management, estimating, startup, or installation experience. Prior experience managing controls work, bidding work, or leading installation/startup efforts preferred.
