About The Team
Anduril’s Manufacturing Automation team is responsible for the design, integration, and deployment of automated manufacturing systems across Anduril factories. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to help define what production automation looks like for Anduril at a national scale.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and manage controls systems for manufacturing – this includes initial factory ideation, machine commissioning, proof of rate capability, and eventual hand-off to sustainment teams
- Architect, write, and debug PLC code with an emphasis on generating code that is organized, structured, documented, maintainable, and reusable for high-volume manufacturing applications
- Generate and enforce internal standards for control systems architectures, regulatory compliance, and safety buyoffs
- Integrate internal and external FactoryOS software into automation equipment and production lines
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for automation failures, ensuring rapid resolution and long-term reliability
- Install, configure, and tune servo drives / VFDs
- Partner with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot equipment issues, reduce downtime, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in controls and automation in a production environment
- Strong in PLC programming on either Rockwell or Siemens platforms
- Proficient knowledge of ethernet based communication protocols
- Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in controls and automation in a production environment
- Experience with control panel layout, electrical component selection, and cable routing
- Proficient in Ignition SCADA development
- Experience integrating with MES and QMS
- Proficient in servo drive and VFD configuration, PID tuning, STO/SS, etc
- Familiar with CAD packages including Solidworks, NX, CATIA, and AutoCAD
Pay
US Salary Range $129,000—$171,000 USD
