What You’ll Do
- Program and troubleshoot Siemens PLC and CNC controls on automated machining equipment, including Heller CNC machines and Liebherr gantry systems.
- Diagnose electrical and automation issues using ladder logic, function block diagrams, STL, and equipment schematics.
- Implement equipment modifications, corrective actions, and controls improvements.
- Cook up projects with maintenance, production, engineering, suppliers, and contractors.
What You’ll Bring
- A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related technical field.
- Hands-on controls engineering experience with industrial or manufacturing equipment.
- Siemens STEP 7 and TIA Portal PLC programming experience.
- Experience with Siemens CNC controls, including Step-7 Powerline, Solutionline, and HMI Advanced.
- Ability to interpret electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics and manage changing project priorities.
- Willingness to work the evening shift.
- Experience with FANUC robotics, Cognex vision, Profibus, ProfiSafe, ASI-Bus, AutoCAD, or capital projects is helpful.
