Sales & Business Development
- Identify, pursue, and develop new customer relationships in the Detroit and Maumee markets
- Meet with clients, attend site visits, and represent Conti LLC at customer dinners and industry events
- Serve as the primary point of contact through the full sales cycle from initial outreach through project award
- Maintain organized, professional follow-up and communication — written and verbal
- Build long-term relationships with owners, engineers, facility managers, and general contractors
Estimating
- Generate quotes and proposals for controls automation projects ranging from smaller one-off service work up to $20M+ large-scale projects
- Perform material takeoffs and scope reviews using Bluebeam and Excel-based estimating templates
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents accurately
- Collaborate with the internal team to ensure estimates reflect scope, budget, and project requirements
- Maintain clear paper trails and documentation throughout the estimating and proposal process
Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of experience in controls automation, HVAC, building automation, or a related field—estimating experience is strongly preferred
- Background in controls, automation, or manufacturing environments is highly relevant
- Proficient in Bluebeam and Excel; ability to work within provided estimating templates
- Able to read and interpret blueprints, construction documents, and specifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills — this role requires polished, professional client-facing interaction as well as the ability to produce well-organized written correspondence and proposals
- Self-motivated and able to manage a remote work schedule with accountability and independence
- Comfortable working across a diverse project portfolio including data centers, commercial, healthcare, pharmaceutical, municipalities, and mixed-use
- Bringing an existing book of business is a plus but is not required
