Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical control systems and associated software utilizing PLCs, HMIs, motion controllers, and related automation technologies for standard and custom equipment.
- Perform hands-on electrical design, programming, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure systems meet performance, schedule, and cost objectives.
- Develop conceptual designs and assist with quotations for custom automation systems.
- Conduct final system run-offs and validation testing to verify proper functionality and compliance with specifications.
- Apply machine safety standards and perform machine risk assessments.
- Support customer installations, field service activities, startup assistance, and technical support at customer sites.
- Maintain accurate engineering and manufacturing documentation in accordance with ISO standards and TQM practices.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and project objectives.
- Communicate project progress, technical issues, and customer concerns effectively to management.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, sales, and other departments.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to manufacturing and sales teams.
Required Skills
- 3–5 years of experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting industrial automation equipment with complex electro-mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with electronic test instrumentation.
- Experience with PLC programming tools, automation systems, and engineering design software.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and project management abilities.
