Controls Analyst

Responsibilities

• Prepare recurring financial and operational reports for executive leadership and corporate headquarters
• Develop management reporting packages, dashboards, and executive-level presentations
• Analyze trends, variances, and key business drivers, providing meaningful insights and recommendations
• Partner with Sales and Operations teams to understand business activity and its financial impact
• Support month‑end reporting and business performance reviews
• Consolidate large data sets from multiple sources into clear, actionable reporting
• Respond to ad hoc reporting requests and executive inquiries
• Present findings and recommendations in a concise and professional manner

Requirements

• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, formulas, charts, graphs, and data analysis
• Strong financial reporting, business analysis, and variance analysis experience
• Ability to work with large data sets and translate information into business insights
• Experience preparing executive‑level reports and presentations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
• Self‑starter who takes ownership and works independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting month‑end reporting cycles
• Manufacturing industry experience
• SAP experience
• Experience working within a global or multinational organization
• Japanese language skills are a plus

Pay

The pay range for this position is $38.46 – $43.27 per hour. Individual compensation within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.

Location & Employment Type

This is a contract‑to‑hire position based in San Diego, CA. The role is fully onsite.
