Responsibilities
- Partner with the business to understand the impact of its various business activities.
- Analyze and understand Treasury’s sources and uses of Funding and its impact on net interest P&L.
- Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly P&L and balance sheet for Treasury businesses.
- Understand accounting and control framework for AFS/HTM investments and different hedge accounting methods deployed by Treasury for interest rate risk management.
- Assess new trades for accounting treatment, financial statement disclosures and appropriate valuations.
- Perform on-going price verification procedures, where applicable, to ensure appropriate valuation of firm inventory.
- Prepare an analysis of P&L drivers for Quarterly Earnings Release and filings.
- Interact with other Product Controllers, Trading Desks, Divisional Management and Franchise Managers to analyze current and historical business trends used to inform future business strategy.
- Respond to ad-hoc questions and analysis requests as they pertain to Treasury P&L and balance sheet.
- Work with Engineering teams to automate and enhance P&L and reporting processes.
Qualifications
- Accounting, Economics or Finance degree preferred, but not required.
- CPA, or CFA preferred, but not required.
- Strong quantitative, analytical and organizational skills.
- Inquisitiveness and willingness to learn.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; the ability to clearly articulate ideas.
- The ability to work and collaborate with a global team of diverse individuals.
- Proactive; the ability to respond creatively and quickly in a fast-paced, high-pressure, changing environment.
- Accurate and detail-oriented with sound judgment and integrity.
Pay
Salary Range: The expected base salary for this Jersey City, New Jersey, United States-based position is $75000-$100000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
