Controller/ Senior Accountant

About the role

A Quality Facility Services (AQFS) is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Controller who can take ownership and play an important role in a growing company. This is a hands-on opportunity to take ownership, bring ideas to the table, work directly with leadership, and help shape the financial side of a growing company. Location: Canton, Ohio. Full-time, hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote).

Responsibilities

  • Own the company's day-to-day accounting operations
  • Full-cycle accounting, including AP, AR, general ledger, and reconciliations
  • Do the month-end close and financial reporting process
  • Support cash management, budgeting, and financial planning
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems, and efficiency
  • Provide accurate financial information and insight to leadership
  • Take ownership of accounting projects and initiatives

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong full-cycle accounting experience
  • Strong Excel and accounting skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Able to work independently and take ownership
  • Comfortable being the primary internal accounting professional
  • Strong communication skills
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
  • Public accounting or CPA firm experience is a plus
