About the role

We're seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to join a leading industrial manufacturing organization in Providence, RI. The ideal candidate will lead financial and accounting operations, manage precious metals accounting, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Leading all financial and accounting operations for a multi-site manufacturing business specializing in precious metals
  • Overseeing manufacturing cost accounting, standard cost development, gross margin analysis, and inventory controls
  • Managing precious metal inventory processing, reconciliation, consignment tracking, and commodity invoicing indexed to daily market rates
  • Collaborating with teams in North Attleboro, RI, and Pennsylvania, including travel to the PA office twice a year
  • Supervising the Metals Coordinator and partnering with the broader finance and operations teams
  • Directing general ledger processing, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and audit/compliance activities
  • Analyzing manufacturing performance, overhead rate development, and providing strategic financial insights
  • Utilizing ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle and advanced data analysis tools (Excel, Access, Power BI)
  • Driving process improvements, strengthening internal controls, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience with precious metals accounting (gold, silver, palladium, platinum); experience with copper, steel, or aluminum required
  • Expertise in cost accounting, standard cost management, and commodity invoice reconciliation
  • Highly skilled in advanced Excel, Access, Power BI, and relational database tools (SAP, Oracle, 4D)
  • Experience with overhead rate development, gross margin analysis, and general ledger processing
  • Understanding of the nuances of commodity pricing and day-to-day index-based invoicing
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Comfortable with a hybrid onsite work schedule (relocation not required, remote not available)
  • Experience engaging with jewelry or precious metal manufacturing industries (preferred)
  • Able to travel to Pennsylvania twice a year for site visits

Pay

$130,000–$180,000 + 15% Annual Bonus

Schedule

Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
