Controller Fractional

Controller – ASC 606 / Revenue Recognition (fractional, onsite in White Plains, NY)

Responsibilities

• Implement ASC 606 revenue recognition processes.
• Help transition the organization from cash‑basis to accrual accounting.
• Evaluate existing revenue recognition and accounting processes.
• Develop and implement accounting procedures, controls, and reconciliations.
• Troubleshoot accounting issues and provide practical solutions.
• Work directly within Intuit Enterprise Suite / QuickBooks Online.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for analysis, reconciliations, reporting, and accounting schedules.
• Identify gaps in existing accounting processes and recommend improvements.
• Provide hands‑on Controller‑level accounting support.
• Ensure revenue and related transactions are properly recorded and reported.

Qualifications

• Controller, Assistant Controller, or senior‑level accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue recognition.
• Strong accrual accounting experience; experience transitioning an organization from cash‑basis to accrual accounting strongly preferred.
• Strong Intuit Enterprise Suite / QuickBooks Online experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong accounting troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a fully onsite environment.
• Excellent attention to detail.
