Description
The Entwistle Company is seeking a skilled and motivated Controller to join their team. This role involves building mission-critical components that support U.S. and allied defense efforts, contributing directly to national and global security. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of skills, creativity, and impact to the company's collaborative and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial data and statements.
- Establish and maintain strong financial controls, including expense management and internal accounting procedures.
- Prepare and reconcile monthly financial statements, sub ledgers, and balance sheet accounts.
- Maintain the chart of accounts and ensure proper documentation of accounting policies and procedures.
- Support payroll processes, including time reporting, account reconciliation, and internal controls.
- Manage billing, collections, and credit functions to ensure operational efficiency.
- Produce and analyze monthly and quarterly financial and operational performance metrics.
- Cook with external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or CMA preferred.
- 5–10 years of progressive financial management experience, with strong knowledge of GAAP.
- Experience with ERP systems required; familiarity with Global Shop Solutions is a plus.
- Background in manufacturing, R&D, and product development strongly preferred.
- Cost accounting and government contracting experience, including work with DCAA/DCMA auditors, is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership, sound business judgment, and analytical thinking.
- Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Executive presence with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
- High integrity, strong work ethic, creativity, and the ability to make timely, difficult decisions.
