Controller

About the role

This role reports directly to the CFO, overseeing a team in general ledger, accounts payable, and payroll. The Controller is also the primary liaison for external audits and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversees general ledger, accounts payable, and payroll functions
• Serves as the main point of contact for external audits and regulatory compliance
• Liaises with external auditors and regulatory bodies
• Manages internal controls and financial reporting processes
• Directs cash management strategies
• Facilitates ERP or accounting system implementation/migration projects

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 6-12+ years of progressive accounting experience with management progression
• Experience at organizations with $100M+ operating budgets
• Demonstrated experience in external audit liaison, internal controls, financial reporting, and cash management
• Full-cycle accounting operations exposure including GL, AP, and payroll
• CPA or active CPA candidate preferred
• Experience in nonprofit, government-contracted, or grant-funded environments

Pay

Up to $165,000 Base + Benefits
