Responsibilities

• Prepares quarterly reforecast incorporating historical results and future assumptions.
• Audits invoices against purchase orders, researches discrepancies, and approves for payment.
• Evaluates accounting and internal control systems.
• Prepares budgets, reviews budget proposals, and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification.
• Provides counsel and advice to peer management in an effort to optimize operational results.
• Coordinates activities of external auditors.
• Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies.
• Acts as close confidant to Plant Manager of operation.
• Hires, trains, and retains competent accounting staff.

Requirements

• Eight (8) years of experience as a Controller.
• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Account, Finance, or a related field.
• Eight (8) years of experience interpreting financial reports, and legal documents.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience presenting information to various levels of management (ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors).
• Eight years of experience working with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.

• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
