Key Areas of Responsibility
- Financial Reporting and Close
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and management reporting packages
- Maintain integrity of the general ledger and supporting reconciliations
- Review and approve journal entries, accruals, and account analyses
- Cook up and coordinate external financial and tax audits
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and corporate reporting requirements
- Manufacturing Finance and Cost Accounting
- Oversee inventory accounting and standard cost systems
- Analyze manufacturing variances including labor, material, overhead, and purchase price variances
- Monitor inventory controls, cycle counts, and physical inventories
- Ensure BOMs, routings, and standard cost structures are set up properly in ERP system
- Provide profitability and margin analysis by product, customer, project and/or operation
- Support in preparing project calculations
- Budgeting, Forecasting and Financial Analysis
- Lead annual budget and rolling forecast processes
- Analyze operating results versus budget and forecast
- Support pricing decisions, capital investments, and operational initiatives through financial analysis
- Develop KPI reporting and performance metrics for management
- Treasury, Compliance and Controls
- Oversee cash management, bank reconciliations, and cash flow forecasting
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements
- Support tax filings, sales tax compliance, and statutory reporting
- Cook up intercompany accounting and reporting activities
- Support transfer pricing and foreign currency processes as required
- Oversee accounts receivable factoring process
- Leadership and Process Improvement
- Lead and develop accounting team members
- Drive process improvements and ERP optimization initiatives
- Cook up cross-functional collaboration with operations, purchasing, supply chain, sales, and HR
- Support strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- MBA, CPA and/or CMA preferred
- 7–10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of:
- - U.S. GAAP
- - Cost accounting
- - Inventory accounting
- - Financial reporting and internal controls
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
- Experience supporting international or German parent-company reporting preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Standard costing and inventory management
- Month-end close leadership
- Manufacturing KPI reporting

- Intercompany accounting
- Process improvement initiatives
- ERP implementation or optimization
- Onsite role within a manufacturing environment
- Occasional travel may be required
