General ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage all daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and reconciliations.Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting to senior management and external stakeholders.Assist in the development and monitoring of company budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to support financial decision-making. Support the implementation and maintenance of internal control policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory standards and best practices.Collaborate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and company policies. Real Estate, Entity & Tax AccountingManage multi-entity accounting across Allied’s capital, development, and brokerage businesses, including intercompany activity and consolidated reporting.Oversee property and fund accounting, including investor reporting and distributions.Manage year-end tax preparation and serve as the main point of contact for our outside tax CPA on returns, estimated payments, and tax planning. Team LeadershipManage and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support in their daily activities.Promote effective collaboration across departments. Cash Management & PayrollManage company cash and ensure invoices are paid on time.Prepare and analyze cash flow projections.Oversee payroll. Additional ResponsibilitiesIdentify opportunities for process enhancements, efficiency improvements, and automation of financial and accounting tasks.Prepare metrics reporting and presentation decks for executive management.Respond to management inquiries regarding financial results and special reporting requests.Protect the organization’s value by maintaining the confidentiality of information.Perform other accounting tasks and responsibilities as assigned.Required Experience & EducationBachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required.CPA or CMA certification preferred.Minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, including prior experience in a supervisory role.Experience with financial reporting, analysis, and audit preparation preferred.Real estate accounting experience preferred, including multi-entity, property, or fund accounting. Attributes & Interpersonal SkillsStrong analytical abilities with close attention to detail and accuracy in financial data analysis and reporting.Demonstrated leadership and management skills to effectively guide and support a team.Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and present financial information effectively. Technical SkillsProficient in QuickBooks accounting software.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Familiarity with financial reporting systems.
