You will manage the financial engine of the organization—from accurate accounting records and timely financial statements to budgeting, cash-flow discipline, systems oversight, and actionable reporting for management decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate all accounting and finance operations.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records, policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Manage the accumulation, consolidation, and analysis of financial data across the business.
  • Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual internal financial statements.
  • Coordinate external reporting requirements and preparation of the corporate annual report.
  • Maintain accounting software, databases, and related financial systems.
  • Manage outsourced accounting, tax, audit, or related service-provider relationships as needed.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and maintain rolling forecasts.
  • Analyze budget-to-actual performance, calculate variances, and escalate material issues to management.
  • Develop management cost reports, operating metrics, and dashboards that support better decision-making.
  • Provide leadership with clear, practical analysis of business performance, trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Assess existing accounting operations and implement improvements that increase accuracy, timeliness, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Evaluate and strengthen accounting processes and internal-control systems.
  • Maintain and enforce documented accounting policies and procedures.
  • Ensure accounts receivable are collected promptly and support healthy cash-flow management.
  • Support compliance with applicable tax requirements, accounting standards, and business policies.
  • Handle financial, client, employee, and company information with sound judgment and strict confidentiality.
  • Oversee key technology and communication systems supporting field and office personnel.
  • Manage field technology needs, including company-issued cell phones, Microsoft Surface devices, and related tools.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technology deficiencies across office locations and field operations.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to maintain reliable systems and communication workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including meaningful responsibility for financial reporting, budgeting, and accounting operations.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, tax requirements, and business reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing and analyzing financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance reports.
  • Experience improving accounting processes, controls, systems, and reporting workflows.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including advanced Excel capabilities.
  • Working knowledge of accounting, payroll, and operational systems such as Sage, QuickBooks, UKG, and Salesforce.
  • Clear written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to operational and executive audiences.
  • A practical, solutions-focused mindset with strong judgment, discretion, and follow-through.
  • A commitment to responsive, professional service for internal stakeholders, clients, vendors, and leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Controller, Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant, or Finance Manager background in a multi-location, field-service, transportation, manufacturing, construction, or operationally intensive environment.
  • Experience supporting decentralized teams with both financial systems and field technology needs.
  • Comfortable moving between strategic analysis and hands-on execution when deadlines require it.

Benefits

  • Excellent medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Vacation and paid time off.
  • Company-paid life insurance.
  • Short-term and long-term disability coverage.
  • 401(k) plan.
  • Strong culture with advancement opportunities across the Relco and Crete networks.
