Responsibilities
- Directing control systems testing, equipment commissioning, field testing and system acceptance including operational readiness testing
- PLC, DCS, HMI and SCADA system planning, design, programming and upgrade
- Supporting multi-disciplinary teams on engineering projects, with a demonstrated commitment to successful project delivery
- Developing drawings and specifications for construction. Drawings for construction include network communication block diagrams, control panel details, wiring termination diagrams, instrument location plans, and instrument installation details
- Equipment selection, cost estimating, equipment layout and coordination with other engineering disciplines
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
- 3-8 years of experience in PLC programming and HMI or SCADA configuration, with 1 year of field experience
- Working knowledge of piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), wiring diagrams, control panel layouts, and motor control schematics
- Demonstrated ability using Ethernet and control system communication protocols
- Experience with Rockwell, Wonderware, and similar PLC/HMI software
- Travel up to 20% of the year may be required
- A registered professional engineer is preferred
