Control Systems CAD Technician

About the role

WindWright, a subsidiary of Stratolaunch, is seeking a Control Systems CAD Technician to support the development, implementation, testing, and operation of instrumentation and control systems for an existing high-speed wind tunnel. This role involves creating and maintaining control systems drawings, conducting thorough reviews, updating drawings, assisting in building and testing controls hardware, supporting instrument calibrations, and preparing business proposals.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain detailed control system drawings, including DIN rails, junction boxes, cable runs, and wire harnesses
• Conduct thorough reviews of drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Update and revise drawings based on feedback from engineers and project managers
• Aid in building, installing, and testing controls hardware as needed
• Support instrument calibrations as needed
• Support bench tests to validate control system functionality as needed
• Identify, document, and communicate design requirements, constraints, and risks
• Prepare business proposals to the US Government and industry
• Travel, as needed, to support the company

Qualifications & Skills

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN)
• Strong understanding of electrical and control systems design principles
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to obtain a security clearance at the TS/SCI level
