About the Role

Noblis MSD supports the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCPD), and their missions to enable research, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, in-service and fleet engineering with cybersecurity, comprehensive logistics, and life-cycle savings. We are seeking a Computer Controls Automation Systems Engineer for a long-term, multi-year contract to develop, maintain, and troubleshoot facility systems for defense systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform system updates and implement facility design, development, modeling/simulation, and integration for naval facility ashore defense control systems applications in a lab environment.
  • Conduct HMI development for local lab and forward facility systems.
  • Conduct PLC engineering development utilizing Rockwell Studio 5000 and Siemens SIMATIC Step 7 / TIA Portal.
  • Develop and deploy industrial application/system user interfaces.
  • Resolve system issues using an issue register.
  • Develop technical documentation packages.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering with 3 years of work experience, or High School diploma with 6 years of experience in industrial engineering.
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire).
  • Passport required—willingness to travel for two weeks at a time, 3 or 4 times a year.
  • Basic PLC or controls experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures with industrial control systems.
  • U.S. Citizen with DOD Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Desired Qualifications

  • Active Security+ certification.
  • PLC experience with facility power systems, HVAC, or wastewater.
  • Experience in developing technical documentation packages.

Pay

Posted Salary Range: USD $78,900.00 – USD $123,300.00 per year (full-time). Part-time or on-call compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked.
