Control Room Operator (Part Time)

About the role

AECOM is seeking highly motivated and dependable Control Room Operators (Part-Time) to staff a traffic operations control room in Omaha, Nebraska.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and log traffic incidents in an advanced transportation management system software.
• Coordinate and dispatch incident response crews to incidents in a safe, timely and efficient manner.
• Detect, confirm, and track equipment failures affecting control room operations (e.g., central system, computers, CCTV cameras, digital message signs, etc.).
• Cooperate with local, regional, and statewide stakeholders on all control room activities by providing essential and timely incident information and status.
• Inform first responders of traffic-related incidents involving injury and assist with coordination of lane closures and diversion routes.
• Cooperate with local municipalities for incident resolution and information dissemination.

Qualifications

• High School + 1 or more years prior experience as a Traffic Monitoring Operator or other related experience.
• Driver’s license in good standing.
