Control Room Operator

About The Role

As a Control Room Operator, you will execute the approved plant start-up and shutdown procedures to assure that the facility meets its operational, environmental, and safety commitments while operating in a safe and environmentally efficient manner.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to Crane, Auxiliary, and Back Plant Operators to maintain a safe and efficient operation
• Effectively monitor Reworld operations systems and have strong working knowledge of boiler, turbine, and auxiliary equipment operations
• Experienced in reading blueprints, P&IDs, and schematic specifications
• Manage critical events and prioritize tasks for completion during emergencies, providing clear directions in operational, safety, and environmental tasks
• Respond to operational alarms, taking immediate corrective action
• Demonstrate solid understanding of operational best practices, including the ability to problem solve and make sound decisions that support Reworld’s safety and operational goals

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Successful completion of ASME QRO Provisional Licensing exam required within the first year of holding the position
• Must be able to work 12-hour rotating shifts

Physical Demands

• Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb
• Ability to lift/carry 50lbs
• Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces
• Qualify to wear a full-face respirator
• Consistently work in various weather conditions

Pay

The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $33.22 - $44.18 USD per hour. The final salary offered will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements, and/or union contracts (if applicable).
