  • Monitor equipment conditions, operating parameters, alarms, and system trends to identify and respond to abnormal operating conditions.
  • Coordinate with Auxiliary Operators and plant personnel to safely execute plant operations, equipment inspections, and maintenance activities.
  • Respond to plant trips, equipment malfunctions, and emergency conditions, taking appropriate corrective actions to protect personnel and equipment.
  • Communicate with dispatch personnel to coordinate generation requirements, unit availability, and changes in plant operating conditions.
  • Support plant safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), equipment isolation, and environmental compliance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate operating logs, shift turnover documentation, and equipment status reports.

Requirements

  • Ability to independently assess plant conditions, troubleshoot operational issues, and respond effectively to alarms and emergency situations.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, controls, and plant safety procedures, including LOTO.
  • Ability to interpret operating procedures, equipment drawings, system descriptions, and technical documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with field operators, maintenance personnel, and plant management.
