Control Room Operator

Responsibilities

• Attends regularly scheduled Safety meetings and implements all CCC and OSHA safe work practices
• Conducts monthly safety observations
• Participates in audits and understands all associated procedures
• Follows all Safety Guidelines and JSP’s – makes suggestions for improvement if necessary
• Performs general housekeeping in operating area and control room to keep a clean professional work area
• Operates the kiln reactivation system and associated equipment with a minimum of direct supervision
• Adjusts equipment as necessary to maintain product quality
• Uses available tools such as process history and data trending to make continuous improvements to the process
• Maintains accurate and legible process records
• Works with outside or inside company personnel to run trials or process experiments
• Operates all equipment to maximize yields, conserve energy and keep process at optimum efficiency
• Uses desktop computer to track process data, production data, enter maintenance work order requests, and maintain effective communication

Requirements

• A high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• One year certificate from college or technical school preferred
• One to two years of plant manufacturing experience preferred
• Computer competency preferred
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred
