Responsibilities
- Wiring electrical control panels efficiently in a high-volume production setting
- Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and B.O.M./drawings, engineering prints/specifications, and/or verbal/written instructions
- Responsible for laying out, machining, populating, and wiring of electrical control enclosures
- Assembly of mechanical, and/or pneumatic components as required
- Use common hand tools, drills, taps, saws, knockout punches, and multi-meter
- Verify work performed by checking continuity or simulated functional test to determine proper component circuitry that meets operational requirements
- May require the operation of a forklift, if so training will be provided
Requirements
- Must have experience using the skills mentioned above
- Experience in wiring electrical control panels, UL 508A experience is a plus
- Read and interpret schematics and electrical specifications as required
- Working knowledge of AC & DC control circuits, including single and three-phase motor control, PLC terminology/function, and basic knowledge of measuring instruments and meters
- The ability to work with and understand electromechanical functionality
- Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to successfully handle a multi-tasked role in an organized fashion
- Strong computer skills. Capable of working with all Microsoft Office applications
- Strong time management and organization skills. Must be able to work independently and successfully complete multiple assignments in a deadline-driven
