Control Engineer 2 with Security Clearance

About the role

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing control systems using PLCs and other automation technologies
• Performing system diagnostics and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance
• Collaborating with engineering, operations, and quality assurance teams to implement process improvements
• Maintaining and updating documentation related to control systems
• Ensuring all work complies with relevant safety regulations and industry standards

Requirements

• At least a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• A valid security clearance is required
• Experience with PLC programming and automation systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in controls engineering
• Experience with safety-critical systems and risk management
• Knowledge of HAZOP, FMEA, and other risk assessment methodologies
• Experience with SCADA systems and data analytics tools

Skills

• Proficiency in PLC programming languages such as Ladder Logic, SFC, and Structured Text
• Experience with SCADA systems and data analytics tools
• Knowledge of safety standards and risk management practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
