Contributor Assembly Operator
About the role
Work in a team environment to assemble components, evaluate automotive parts to meet customers' quality standards and delivery schedules.
Responsibilities
- Perform specific procedures on equipment to ensure safety in cell/line/dept./plant
- Act to meet Cell, Department and Plant goals
- Participate to define 5S/TPM activities
- Perform 5S/TPM Audits - if applicable
- Perform changeover and set up reductions - if applicable
- Perform error proofing, generate ideas and aid development - if applicable
- Identify methods to enhance and share team knowledge
- Participate in team meetings
- Promote a teamwork environment
- Support team (active and constructive role)
- Understand dept. responsibilities and roles
- Works from standardized work instructions and control plans
- May rotate stations and lines
- Understand and support Lock out/Tag out principles
- Perform daily safety audits - if applicable
- Report safety issues
- Wear personal protective equipment
- Understand and utilize all Cell/Station Quality documentation
- Calibrate and Master gages and understand gaging qualification requirements
- Verify and document error proofing per schedule
- Report Quality issues promptly and assist in clean point creation
- Keep station and fixtures/tools clean and organized at all times
- Communicate when there is an issue affecting the Environment, Health, Safety or Quality to his / her respective Manager
