Contracts Manager - Level 3
About the role
The Contracts Manager – Level 3 position is located in Redondo Beach, CA, with frequent travel to support the Mission Enabling Products (MEP) Business Unit. This role is pivotal in defining the art of the possible from day one, fostering strong stakeholder management, and leading a team of contracts professionals.

- Lead and foster professional development through choreographed training, learning by doing initiatives, coaching and mentoring

- Strategically engage with customers to build strong business relationships, enabling RFP shaping of contractual requirements and successful negotiation outcomes
- Implement coordinated customer engagement plans and create succinct value propositions at the right level
- Provide expert advice to various levels of leadership on topics such as contractual risks, liabilities, innovative contracting solutions and contractual strategy utilizing excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to provide independent opinions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of professional experience including people management experience – OR – Master’s degree with 6 years of professional experience including people management experience
- No clearance required to start
- 4 or more years of direct management experience
- Contract administration or contract management experience, in Defense or Aerospace industry, managing contracts throughout the acquisition life cycle, including reviewing and approving contractual documents for protection of the company’s contractual posture and adherence to company policy
- Experience with federal government contracting types (Cost Type and Fixed Price) and requirements (i.e FAR/DFAR interpretations)
- Experience with Other Transactions contracting
- Experience with commercial and/or international contracting
Qualifications
- Holds an active Secret and/or Top-Secret clearance at time of application
- Competitive proposal development experience

Pay
The primary level salary range for this role is $159,500.00 - $239,300.00. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
Schedule
This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. It follows a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.
