Contracts Analyst
About the role
The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) seeks a Contracts Analyst II. This position is part of the Analyst II classification and is subject to the Personal Leave Program (PLP) 2025, which involves a 3% salary reduction in exchange for 5 hours of leave credits through June 2027.
Responsibilities
- Manage contracts and agreements for CAL FIRE projects
- Research and analyze contract terms and compliance issues
- Prepare and maintain contract files and records
- Support contract negotiations and administration
- Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field
- One year of relevant experience in contract management or a related field
- Experience with contract management software
- Strong organizational and attention to detail skills
Qualifications
Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications as outlined in the Analyst II classification specification. Possession of the minimum qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $6,031.00 - $7,547.00 per month, based on experience and qualifications.
