Job Description

GDIT is seeking a Contracts Administrator Principal to support the U.S. Department of War. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in managing U.S. Government contracts.

HOW A CONTRACTS ADMINISTRATOR PRINCIPAL WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Administers a broad portfolio of U.S. Government prime contracts, task orders, modifications, and subcontracts throughout the contract lifecycle
  • Reviews and negotiates contractual terms and conditions while ensuring compliance with applicable Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), agency supplements, and company policies
  • Supports proposal activities by reviewing solicitations, identifying contractual risks, preparing contract exceptions, and ensuring proposal compliance
  • Advises program management on contractual requirements, obligations, risks, and business considerations
  • Drafts, reviews, and negotiates non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements, and other contractual documents
  • Covers contract awards, modifications, funding actions, and close-out activities with internal and external stakeholders
  • Provides contractual guidance to program managers, finance procurement, pricing, legal, and business development organizations
  • Reviews customer correspondence and prepares contractual responses, notifications, and other required documentation
  • Maintains contract files, records, and reporting in accordance with company procedures and customer requirements
  • Participates in customer meetings, negotiations, program reviews, and internal management briefings as required
  • Identifies contractual risks and recommends practical solutions that support both customer requirements and business objectives
  • Ensures contract actions are completed accurately and within established deadlines
  • Covers contract negotiations, contracts, and subcontracts with appropriate management staff
  • Maintains current knowledge of acquisition regulations, contractual practices, and industry trends
  • May provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced contracts professionals
  • Performs other related duties and special projects assigned

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, contract management, public administration, or related field
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience administering U.S. Government contracts
  • Role requirements: Experience supporting DoW and/or Federal Government contracts, experience with contract negotiations, modifications, proposal support, and contract administration, experience interpreting and applying contractual terms, FAR, and applicable agency supplements, strong understanding of government contract administration principles and practices, excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, effective written and verbal communication skills, ability to negotiate contractual matters with customers and business partners, ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across functional organizations, ability to work independently with minimal supervision while exercising sound business judgment, technical skills: Microsoft Office Suite, experience using contract management systems is preferred

Location

This role requires working onsite at our GDIT facility in Falls Church, VA. Must be comfortable working onsite (5) days a week.
