About the role

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Contracts Professional Level 2 (Contracts Administrator) or Contracts Professional Level 3 (Principal Contracts Administrator) to support its Strike Division. This position may be located on-site at the Melbourne, FL or Palmdale, CA offices and follows a 9/80 schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Examines estimates of material, equipment, services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepares bids; processes specifications, progress, and other reports; advises management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information.
  • Supports interface with customer for contractual issues among team members.
  • Maintain contract and associated program to ensure that contractual obligations are communicated and understood.
  • Supports contract proposal preparation, contract negotiations, contract administration, and customer contract activities to manage assigned contracts in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
  • Work under direct and general supervision to develop solutions to both routine and complex contractual matters to ensure company compliance with contract requirements on assigned programs.
  • Ensure fulfillment of contract requirements, support contract changes and maintain historical information within company policy and procedure.
  • Review terms and conditions to address provisions and risks of financial terms, acceptance criteria, delivery requirements, warranty, intellectual property, termination provisions, indemnification and all other potential risk areas and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare and manage written communications with internal and external customers for assigned contractual matters.
  • Enter and maintain contract data into Contract Management System or Enterprise Accounting System.
  • Ensure timely delivery of all contractual deliverables and submission of invoices.

Requirements

  • For Level 2: Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of professional work experience related to contracts, proposals, business management or other similar industry experience, or Master’s Degree in relevant field of study.
  • For Principal Level 3: Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of professional work experience related to contracts, proposals, business management or other similar industry experience, or Master’s Degree and 3 years of professional work experience related to contracts, proposals, business management or other similar industry experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Knowledge of FAR/DFAR requirements.
  • Knowledge of multiple contract types including Firm Fixed Price, Time & Materials or Cost Plus Fixed Fee.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active US Government Secret or higher clearance within a reasonable timeframe to support business operations and needs.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in relevant field of study.
  • 2 years of professional work experience related to contracts, proposals, business management or other similar industry experience for Level 2.
  • 5 years of professional work experience related to contracts, proposals, business management or other similar industry experience for Principal Level 3.
  • Knowledge of FAR/DFAR requirements.

Pay

Salary ranges will be dependent upon position level AND where the position is based and follows our company geographic salary bands aligned with position. Specific salary offer for candidate selected will be commensurate with experience.

Schedule

This position may follow a 9/80 schedule, allowing employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
