CONTRACTS ADMINISTRATOR
Position Description
The Contract Administrator provides support for the formation, administration, and closeout of assigned subcontracts on a given project.
Essential Functions
- Aid in the prequalification of potential subcontractors
- Apply knowledge of construction contracting best practices
- Prepare and review contracts with subcontractors
- Maintain files of all subcontracts for designated projects
- Maintain correspondence files for subcontracts
- Administer contract functions including maintaining records of scope changes, extra work requests, letters to/from contractor, etc.
- Handle invoice review and payment
- Provide project control with cost trends for subcontracts
- Perform special projects as required
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in contracts administration
- Knowledge of contractual language and terminology
- Familiarity with insurance coverage principles for contracts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software
- Basic knowledge of oil and gas industry, with engineering services for oil and gas pipeline projects a plus
- Understanding of contract language with respect to project scope of work and client requirements/expectations

Work Environment/Physical Demands
Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Frequent sitting and operating a computer. Must be able to use body members to work, move or carry objects or office materials. Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally. Physical demands requirements are at levels of those for sedentary work.
