About the role

Conducts the preparation, negotiation, and management of government contracts in accordance with company policies, federal procurement regulations and statutes, and customer requirements. Advises management of company and third-party contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of terms and conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and review contractual documents as appropriate.
  • Provide oversight and monitoring of contracts, assist in key negotiations, resolve performance issues, identify risks and associated mitigations, and support development of major proposals.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, government, and contract requirements.
  • Provide cradle-to-grave contract administration support for government contracts.
  • Negotiate Teaming Agreements and Non-Disclosure Agreements.
  • Interact frequently—written, oral, and face-to-face—with contracts and procurement staff, functional peers, management, and external/internal customers.
  • Regularly interact with programs, contracts, project control, finance, business development, and customers as required.
  • Develop or review prime contract flow-down documents to ensure compliance with prime contract requirements and minimize company liability.
  • Support internal/external audit activities and data requests from internal/external customers.
  • Evaluate solicitations for proposal requirements and pertinent sections of the FAR, DFARS, and other applicable government laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Additional years of relevant experience and other degrees may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
  • Working knowledge within the government contracts arena; production contracts experience is desired.
  • Experience with all contract types (CPIF, CPFF, FFP, T&M, etc.) and an understanding of FAR/DFARS.
  • Currently hold or ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret Level Security Clearance.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team of contract professionals supporting proposal preparation and a portfolio of contracts.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work activities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective and professional communication at all levels within the organization.
  • Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with management and staff regarding contracts issues with high degrees of complexity and work issues to resolution.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint site document management.

Pay

Salary Range: $73,160 - $124,580. There are a variety of factors that can influence salary, including geographic location, federal government contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
